Sam, a well-known and much-loved meteorologist decided to get away from the weather forecast following his dad’s duties after divorce.
Kantrow took the child custody and decided to give them and himself time cause of which he decided his new move away from his fan and viewers.
Meteorologist Sam divorced his ex-wife Melissa, shared a long post on his Facebook on December 16, 2023, and officially notified his fans that he is a single dad now.
Why Is Meteorologist Sam Kantrow Leaving Channel 8’s Weather?
Through his Facebook handle, Sam Kantrow updated his fans regarding his new decision to leave TV and relocating through the featured post and another post in 2023.
Sam shared a long post on his Facebook on December 16, 2023 and officially notified his fans that he is single dad and he is taking hiatus as of now.
He mentioned watching television is difficult, and managing it independently is even more difficult, and wrote to fans to let them know that he’s made a decision, that he’s getting off of TV.
He expressed that he was fortunate to have had the opportunity to share this humble experience with each and every one of his viewers.
Serving all of them through hurricanes, tornadoes, and snowstorms has been amazing, and he hopes they could see that even though he made a lot of mistakes and blew the prediction more times than he can remember, he was always true to himself.
Whether he was on TV or interacting with all of fans at the grocery store, he was genuinely himself.
Kantrow has had the privilege of spending the most of his week interacting with each and every one of the viewers for the great bulk of his adult life nearly 13 years.
Whether it was in front of a green screen, during a severe storm, while writing on a tale, visiting a school, or simply spending time with his children, getting to know each of his fan is the nicest part of his job.
He watched News 8 as a child and always imagined himself working there as a meteorologist, and was a young child when he started working at the station.
He was just 23 and still living at home, and he recalls discussing Dr. Mel with his father following his first day.
The dude was a real pain in the ass, and he put Kantrow’s meteorological knowledge to the test every single day.
He suffered food sickness on his second day of work, and he couldn’t even get the phone to work, so his mom had to call him in sick.
He was certain he would be let go right away, and after almost eighteen months, he made his television debut.
Sam been told several times over the years how much he’s “grown” In all honesty, his experiences in life have definitely made him mature.
Where is Meteorologist Sam Kantrow Going After Leaving TV?
Sam Kantrow made the decision to depart from his ideal location, and relocate to new place with his sons after he lost his dad and divorced with his wife Melissa.
Though Sam mentioned that he is shifting to new place, he has not disclosed what actually is his new location.
He wrote that it was good to have weekends off for the time being, but rest assured that he also mentioned that he’s sure that one day he’ll make it back on the air eventually.
Although he will miss appearing on television, he shares that this was ultimately the finest choice he could have made for his children.
Sam took hiatus from the TV and his Facebook after he mentioned that he is leaving the TV on December 2023.
