As David and Tiera Barrett were finishing up a date night, his 18-year-old daughter Seionna called.
Seionna was watching her three brothers, who are ages one, six, and thirteen, as well as her sibling’s 13-year-old friend.
Seionna alerted her father that she and the four kids were inside their burning house.
Then they dropped everything they were doing and took off running.
When Seionna noticed the fire in their living room, she reportedly went upstairs, yelled, and seized her younger sister.
With tears in her eyes, Seionna with her friend and siblings started running down the stairs, and that’s when they saw Nick, and they couldn’t find Kaylani.”
Bostic assisted them in leaving the building before frantically looking for Kaylani inside the smoke-filled home.
Nick dashed downstairs and seized Kaylani, whom he located with the use of his hearing.
He claimed that the only way out of the thick smoke was through a window on the second floor. Bostic, holding the 6-year-old daughter in his arms, knocked out the glass and sprang to safety.
The girl just had a small scratch on her foot, but he was badly hurt.
The aftermath of the jump was captured on body camera footage as Bostic gave Kaylani over to the cops and crumpled on the sidewalk.
In the footage, Bostic can be heard inquiring, “Is the infant OK? Please let me know whether the kid is okay,” he said, getting an off-camera assurance that the infant was.
David remembered pulling up to the house and running up and all Seionna could say was, ‘I can’t find Kaylani.
Then they informed me about Nick and his actions after saying that She’s in the ambulance.
Seionna began to cry even more. The feeling that David wasn’t there is among the worst. Kalyani said that she was looking for her Daddy.
The family nearly lost everything cause of the fire.
David described, God works with the most peculiar people and angel was sent by him as Bostic.

Nick Bostic was taken to an Indianapolis hospital, where he was treated for smoke inhalation, various wounds, and injuries to his arm before being released two days later.
Claiming not to be a hero, he simply performed for his family what he would have wanted done in the event of a house fire.
Nick remarked that everything was worthwhile, and he ha dlittle price to pay.
After the heroic saving, his family has set up a GoFundMe to assist with his medical expenses.
