Shelia Eddy, the convicted murderer, was born to her parents, Tara Clendenen and Greg Eddy.
However, she didn’t get to live with her own biological father, Greg, cause her mom divorced him in 2000.
Tara later remarried Jim Clendenen, and the couple moved to Morgantown, West Virginia, with her daughter.
Sheila attended University High School in Morgantown, which was closer to their new home.
Tara and Greg had supported their daughter, Shelia, but they didn’t notice any changes while their daughter acted up to search for her best friend, Skylar Neese, with her other friend, Rachel Shoaf.
Her father and mother never guessed that their child was involved in the horrific crime of killing her own best friend.
Tara Clendenen, Eddy’s mother, filed a motion stating that she shouldn’t be held responsible for the events in July 2012.
Her mother presented an argument that she didn’t have control over her daughter cause her daughter was staying at the Shoaf’s house on the night in question.
She also stated that she didn’t entrust her car, that was taken by her daughter and was involved in the incident.
She also has pointed out that even, Mary Neese (Skylar’s mother) said she didn’t blame Eddy’s parents for her actions.

Shelia Eddy does not have any siblings, cause she is an only child in her family.
Though she has no siblings her best friend Rachel Shoaf was like her sister, with whom she shared her secrets and even plotted the murder of their best friend Skylar Annette Neese.
After pleading guilty for killing of their best friend, Shoaf was sentenced to 30 years in prison with Eddy sentenced to lifetime imprisonment.

Shelia Eddy, along with her high school best friend Rachel Shoaf, was involved in the brutal murder of their best friend, Skylar Neese.
The tragic events occurred in July 2012 in Morgantown, West Virginia, and Skyler’s family seek help to find their missing daughter.
Neese’s parents even posted flyers in the Monongalia County region, with a great hope to find their missing daughter.
On July 5, 2012, after Neese returned home from work, she left her apartment around midnight with Shelia and Rachel.
Initially Neese was regarded as a runway by the Police, so they hadn’t issued any Amber Alert to search her.
Six months after the disappearance of Neese, on January 3, 2013, Shoaf confessed to plotting with Eddy to kill Neese.
In her confession, she had revealed that they “didn’t like her” anymore and wanted to end their friendship and brutally stabbed her to death.
Then she led investigators to Neese’s body, and her body was found in Wayne Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
While Rachel pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in May 2013 and was sentenced to thirty years in prison, with her parole eligibility after 10 years in 2028.
At the same time, Shelia pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in January 2014 and received a life sentence, with her parole eligibility after 15 years.
